He's not a tame lion

As I and my family journey through this season of exciting beginnings and bittersweet transitions, there is one thing that I know with increasing certainty—God loves Millersburg! I am more sure than ever that No Other Love is His vision, rather than my own, and that I, will, perhaps be the most surprised of all, to see what it becomes.
To walk forward, aware of the incomprehensible, vast, and mysterious nature of our God is both an awe-inspiring and deeply vulnerable experience. The wildness of God is alluring, beautiful, and terrifying all at the same time. And yet- as the characters of Lucy and Mr. Tumnus so perfectly put into words when talking about the great lion, Aslan, in Disney’s 2005 movie rendering of C.S. Lewis’s book, The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe,
"He's not a tame lion, but He is good."
My prayer as we move forward together in bringing to life the vision that is No Other Love, is that we may never seek to tame the One whose name and image we bear. May we grow in our capacity to love Him and to love others with a holy fierceness that cannot be restrained as we fix our eyes on His glory, rest in His strength, and delight in His goodness.
With sincerity and joy,
Stephanie Berlin
